Fiberglass pools are extremely easy to maintain, can be installed quickly, are very durable, have attractive gel coat finishes, can be beautifully designed with built-in benches and splash pads, and can carry up to a lifetime warranty. However, their initial cost can be higher than vinyl liner pools, and the shapes and sizes are not as customizable.
Vinyl liner pools are cheap to install and have highly customizable shapes. But, they are also fragile. The biggest disadvantage is the liner needs to be replaced every 5-7 years or if it is damaged, leading to minimal warranties and low resale value
Concrete pools are extremely durable and allow for a highly customized size and shape. The disadvantages include more effort to maintain, more chemical usage, the highest cost of ownership, a rough interior surface, and slow installation time.
